Car came in running badly,code read it with an ACR4 and it pulled up a knock sensor fault, i replaced it with genuine part, but still no better and i cant erase the fault code.
The local Ford dealer said he had found broken wires on other models just as the harness comes up from the engine next to the strut top.I have removed the conduit to check these wires and also continuity tested them from the knock sensor to the injection control unit which is at the front near side corner.They all appear intact and test ok.
I enquired about getting the injection and the main ecu's tested but have been told this is not possible. Can anyone shed any light on this problem for me, it would be greatly appreciated,
