Called to this one with poor running and MIL on. Running fault down to burnt cap and Rotor. Cleared fault codes for idle circuit and VSS but didn't have time for road test. Customer reported back car runs ok now but MIL on. Code for VSS signal logged. Live data shows vehicle speed at 255km/h but no signal from VSS during test drive. I was just about to start dismantling the dash to access the back of the cluster when he anxiously asked me to be careful of his shiny new stereo. Could the new audio set have any effect as with VAG cars? Andrew
