If I remember correctly the engine management system earths to the body and of course the single wire lambda earths through the engine, as a result if you get a bad earth from battery to engine or battery to chassis everything does horribly Pete Tong. Check for volt drops between battery negative and engine and body, if you find any seek and destroy! Shaun
