Untill you tell them how much it is going to cost, Then they suddenly change their minds. ( Usually after you have wasted several hours checking it out ) They all think that it is going to be something Simple and Easy to fix and is going to cost them £60.00. I have seen a couple of these with throttle body problems And they both turned out to be faulty ecu's. The only way with a job like that is to price up for both Ecu and throttle body and Explain that This is the Most that it is likely to cost. ?? If it scares her off then It's Time to Trade it in. ?? If I get a Job like that, I will buy one or Both Components, Fit them and see if it cures it, If it doesn't, Keep it on the shelf for the next one that comes in.
