Hi Nigel,
Just looked at one today with no power steering and the same 'internal Eprom error' code.
I'd check to see if there is a 'low supply' fault logged in the SRS system. Steering fault codes were voltage related as well. Tested the Battery with a Midtronics style tester and it failed, despite customer having no problems starting it or driving.I suspect it was eating most of the alternators output.
I can't say this is fixed though, but customer will try it and see.
