    Hiya,
I have recently posted a question about these type of sensors. They are called broadband or wideband sensors and are different in many ways to the standard 0-1V sensors.
Most have five or six wires as they contain two elements.
-Two wires for the heating element (white & grey).
-One wire for the supply to the lambda sensing element.
-One wire for the supply to a pumping cell.
    -One wire for sensing output.
-One wire for the reference voltage.

From my investigations, most scanners live data will not give any useful data to diagnose problems with these sensors. You need to bring out a scope.
Working on a wideband sensor the otherday, through trial and error, I discovered the o/p signal between the refernce and o/p on the O2 sensor harness. What I saw on the scope was a 1-3V cycle much like a 4-wire type, but the sensor was cycling slower. Also noted sensor works backwards, as a high voltage indicates lean mix and low voltage indicates rich mix.
Hope this gives a little insight. I am still no 100% on these sensors and am hoping someone jumps in to clear things up.
