Saab 9000 2.0 16v 1993 - Will not run with MAF connected # Archived Message

    Hi all.
Got this in from a local garage.engine wont run with air mass meter connected, would like another opinion on this.
The system is bosch LH 4.2 looked on esi, and can't find spec.part number 0280212011.no longer available. Resistance check out reasonable compared with other saab meters, but before i condemn this. Here are some of the checks i have done. With it disconnected. the co 10% inj 4 to 5 m/s which is double what i would expect. If i connect the plug it cuts straight away.I have removed the signal wire from the multiplug, then the car runs the voltage at idle out of the signal terminal is 1.9v.I have tried putting in a variable voltage, the car runs until you take it to 1.9v the inj/duration stays the same, then cuts, so i was then thinking it must be the ecu, i found an ecu at local breakers and fitted , but still the same checked temp sensor and earths, ok. Can't find s/h or new air mass. baffled any one help on this.
