Thank you Ray for all your help! Fixed at last... Most senior technician at garage took 4 hours to replace all 6 plugs (glad they didn't ask me to do it)!! I think initial high MAF readings was red herring. Whilst only running on 3 it was still higher cold idle speed. Anyway, ran on 6 with new plugs, and idle OK. O2, though replaced and better, was still slow, and flat lining regularily. When throttle floored, to check MAF waveform, stuck at 3000 rpm and MAF only peaked at 3.5V, with lots of coughing and spluttering (the car did as well...). Notably the O2, if stuck low would give a little pulse then back low, just when the revs stuck at 3k. Just seemed too lean, with lean miss. Changed MAF and we had a new car. Thanks to Ken and Dave at Crypton Techline for their invaluable help. Well worth the money!!!
    Regards,
    Nick Bell
