Hi all Vehicle is a zafira, 02 reg, running z18xe engine, simtec 71 engine management ecu, bosch 5.3 abs (with esp)and auto box.
Ok initially this vehicle had done the rounds including two main dealers, initial fault was it would not rev up - intrigued by the problems it was causing I agreed to help out-you live and learn!
The first fault was it had lost one of its 5v feeds to throttle sensor and throttle motor, these were actually caused by the camshaft sensor wiring (hall effect type) rotting and shorting together under cam-cover causing ecu to shut 5v feeds down (this may help someone in future)
Fault 2,engine misfire, scoped, no driver stage on no.3, ecu replaced, but had to have programmed by local dealer (dont normally get involved with vauxhall hence no tech 2)
Fault 3, This has also been present from the start and with original engine management ecu, the vehicle will drive up the road then put esp light on followed by abs, then eventually lock in 3rd gear (limp home), codes from engine ecu, po700 mil request from a/t, codes from abs, co256 engine torque reduction malfunction & co260 gear selection, codes from the gearbox which is the first to flag is p1895 actual torque circuit fault.
The vehicle may drive fine for several miles then put the esp light on, or occasionally it will put the light on even without moving ruling out wheel speed sensors, however I do not have any live data for gearbox (using modis), nor any wiring diagrams to pin out gear selector or gearbox ecu hence any help greatly received, sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for any help....regards vern
