I know this is a silly one, but its been a long day and my brain has stopped. Called to the above car which the RAC diagnosed as a suspected head gasket, water loss and high temperature warning light flashing. Changed the water pump gasket, filled and bled the system, cleared codes (Vagcom). Car runs fine, good temperature control, fan cuts in and out, but the warning light continues to flash. Bypassed the coolant level sensor, no difference. I thought the gauge/warning light worked on a seperate sensor, but I cannot find one. What am I missing (apart from a holiday)? Peter
