This came in today for a new tyre but as an afterthougt the owner said when engine was running on petrol not LPG the engine didnt run as well.We didnt have a lot of spare time so only had chance to do quick check, here are 4 gas readings LPG at idle CO 0% HC 9ppm CO2 13.47% O2 1.01 PETROL at idle CO 0.00% HC 8ppm CO2 12.75% O2 3.5 .This would seem to suggest to me that the only component that is supplying anything different are the fuel injectors so added 2 FORTE ADVANCED INJECTOR CLEANER into petrol tank then took for 5 mile brisk r test, on return checked 4 gas again no improvement.Have had problems in past with lpg vehicles where valves have sunk into seats reducing valve clearences but not on engines with hydraulic tappets + if it was a mechanical fault why would it not be the same on lpg. Thanks in anticipation of replies GEOFF TAYLOR.
