The problem then is us older posters who may or may not know a bit about diagnostics don't bother posting because we get fed up repeating ourselves.
The vehicle speed sensor on that car does not drive the speedo it has a mechanical speedo drive. The speed sensor is between cable and gearbox and engine ecu uses this to decide whether to start idle control.
Even this little post of mine has taken a few minutes to do so you can see why sometimes its not worth the effort.
