    Hi John,

    I think you have left out a lot of detail that would be needed for anyone to help you with this problem.

    Fault code numbers on BMW’s do not have the same meaning across the range of control units. For anyone to be able to state the meaning of any code they would at least need to know what system it is.
    The poor old Launch (and I do mean Poor) often seems to suffer from both odd fault code descriptions and numbers.
    The description you have given would suggest a fuel trim fault. That should be available in simple EOBD and I would expect even a tool like Launch would have good descriptions on EOBD standard codes.

    Based on very little info I will take a stab in the dark. The car probably has an n series valvatronic engine and the fuel trim code is probably caused by a vac leak on the oil filler cap.
    If I am wrong (quite likely and very common) then come back with some more detail on both the car and what tests you have done along with live data and gasses etc etc
