I,m not familiar with what the X431 can do and cannot do. All you can do it give it a go.
But to reinforce what i have already said , resetting the fuel adaptations will not fix the fueling problem if it is present.
It will just show up error clearly in the live data PID's i Have already mentioned.
After the Reset the engine may run poor at idle if there is a fault present with the engine.
Also this engine uses a speed density method to calculate engine load. The to calculate engine load it uses engine speed , manifold absolute pressure and throttle position.
when at idle "K series" MAP reading should be a minmum of 37 Kpa any higher at idle will cause it to over fuel. the ECU will correct this via the fuel correction setting normally a value around 95% to 90 % is accepted and will not flag DTC code P0170. anything any lower will trigger the Default flag after completing a drive cycle.
we could talk all night about what can cause the engine to fuel incorrectly, but for now recheck the car and see what happens....
