2001 Xsara 1600 non start, get it going with a bit of carb cleaner for 30 secs, not enriching for cold start. Now there's two sensors ,2 wire sensor on top and single wire below. Lower sensor is completely open circuit so have one on order and hopefully will cure problem, but what confuses me and someone may be able to shed some light on,The voltage pulses digitally from 2 to 4 volts to both sensors connected ,but stops when i disconnect upper 2 wire plug.Gauge works off two pin and reads correctly Put a high resistance to single wire, with the 2 pin disconected, live data now reads -6 degrees and it fires straight off from cold ,but replace 2 pin and live data goes back to 20 degrees and no start. Is the ecu thinking that readings are implausible from different air temp and coolant values, and just little worried on the pulsing as have not seen this before. Cheers. GEORGE
