This one is starting to tie me up in knots so could with some help.

Came in dead a fortnight or so ago with belt damage and head gasket was on its way out just prior to belt snapping. Rebuilt head and while I wasn't entirely happy with the idling, I let it go back to customer until I had bought a Carman scan to investigate further.

The idling is much worse now than when it went out.

Its idling erratically hunting etc but never cuts out.

Tests and readings carried out this far:

Intermittent MIL on P0172 System rich.

Smoke tested intake system..Very slight leak on EGR valve.

Compressions 210 psi all 4 cyls

    Cylinder leakage test-OK

    Vacuum low at 13 in/HG

    Valve timing checked-OK

    Emissions at idle..Co 0.5-1.5(fluctuating quickly)// Lambda 1.086 //HC 0-100(fluctuating quickly) //Co2 12.9 //O2 3.05

    2800 RPM...Co 0.5-1.5(fluctuating) //Lambda 0.996 //HC 0-100(fluctuating) //Co2 15.1 //O2 0.02

Haven't had chance to scope the lambda yet, but is switching in live data.

Inj duration(Live data) 4.4ms at idle and 2.1 ms at 2800rpm

Would a slight leak on EGR be enough to give me low vacuum and these erratic emissions, or do I start doubting something my Tech may have overlooked during the head job?

Customer claims car was perfect before
