There is history with this Jeep. It has been a runner but battery has been allowed to go flat while work was carried out on the gas system. Well the immobiliser light is permanently on and never flashes (used to flash when the doors were unlocked and then would go out) the key sign on the dash goes out then back on when the ignition is turned on. The doors will lock and unlock on both the key and the blip. According to the trader the battery had gone flat before and the vehicle was taken to the main dealer.
The trader got an invoice for refitting a fuse!
He is convinced it is that simple. I’ve checked every fuse I can find but I think the main dealer did something else.
Does any one know if the immobiliser has a reset procedure when the battery goes flat or is this (as I suspect) a main dealer reset only, or if the battery going flat does indeed scramble the immobiliser?
