Hi all, this car was running on 2 cylinders, with the coil that feeds cylinders 1 and 4 not sparking and the plastic housing had partly melted, a new coil was fitted and car was fine for about a week, then it would not start and was found to have blown a 20amp fuse, replaced this and car started but only on 2 cylinders and the same(one on the left) ignition coil had again been overheated and failed. The wiring seems ok to the coils(not trapped or damaged by the cover)so I am assuming an ECU fault which must be not switching off the coil and allowing excess current to damage it. I have seen a few of these cars without coming across this fault and I see nothing in the archives either, any ideas?
