Vehicle presented with cutting out when stopping, auto box.
Scanned and fault shown were O2 Sensor no signal live readings confirmed this, scoped O2 and flat line and Box scan showed "4G oil pressure regulation".Launch
Changed O2 sensor for after market part and all seemed well, long road test & driveability good no faults stored.
Owner collected car and the following day returned to say that although the vehicle was not stalling there was no response from the engine when traveling over 40 MPH or when kicking down or accelerating hard this was not present on our prior roadtest. Road test confirmed the complaint and scan showed that the O2 reading sat at steady .425mv when the fault occurred, slipping into neutral and revving the engine clear fault temporarily but soon returned.Sykes scanner. So fitted another O2 sensor (Renault part) and all was well again.
Today we have the car back. This time all good for three days then when accelerating hard to over take, bingo, same problem, scan shows O2 sensor fault logged.Disconnect sensor and car drives perfectly with emissions well within limits and ECU shows .325Mv. Default value? Not a million miles away from the .425Mv we saw at first.
I vaguely remember some thing on one of the forums but search shows nowt.
I will now carry out wiring checks etc but wondered if this jogs anyones memory?
