Hi George Those emissions tell quite a story. Your comment about the upstream O2 sensor remaining lean through cold start to normal opperating temp & the fact that it takes 3 seconds to respond to a richening "snap throttle" make me think that the new Fuel Parts sensor is duff. Maybe you could force an extreme rich environment by spraying some carb cleaner directly into the inlet manifold through a small pipe. You should see a rapid reaction to this kind of excess hydrocarbon. Or maybe you could use a sensor simulator & stick 900 mv up the signal wire. to drive a rich signal to the PCM & then monitor the gas analyser readings. This will at least confirm that the system is capable of reacting correctly. Good detailed post George! How you getting on with the Common rail stuff? regards Dave (Hill)
