We have a real head scratcher here. Vehicle has large flat spot & generates codes p1326,p1327,p1328,p1329 Knock limit exceeded for all 4 cylinders. It generates these codes without the knock sensor in contact with the engine as the throtle is cracked open. Have carried out all wiring checks as per TIS2000 all OK. This leads to faulty sensor or ECU both of which have been changed.
The one thing that shows up is the lambda reading on WOT. It drops to 449mV indicating lean mixture, it is this I think that is giving the knock retard values of up to 15 degrees.
If we make the engine run lean by inducing an air leak we get 4850 mV, if we raise fuel pressure to run rich then we get 449mV, which to my way of thinking is back to front for a titania type sensor.
Has anybody seen this before or are able to check live data on this engine to verify these readings.
Have tried a vectra which works as you would expect, but that is simtec 56.5 not MS70. I dont know what diferances there are between the two systems.
We have tried a genuine sensor with no change in results.
    thanks in advance
    Martin
