    Its fitted with the early type 2x 17 pin plug bosch ECU, part no. 0-261-200-614, merc No. 018 545 11 32. I've been checking it with both Autodiagnos and Snap-on Scanner. Both report the same code 18 and both show idle contact as off all the time.

    I've checked the throttle body readings at the ECU as per Autodata pin data and all looks OK apart from this idle contact. Autodata says throttle closed should read 0.4 volts (or neg) which I have but it doesn't read 5 volts when throttle is opened, basically it doesn't read anything which leads me to think that I may have an ECU fault.

    I don't think that there was ever anything wrong with the Throttle body, despite what the company that supposedly remanufactured the unit said! I shall be having words with them later.
