Lady buys cheap car off Ebay(low bid)arrives at my w/s with eng light on last Feb: Codes P0340 & P0011. Changed cam sns but then would not start, so changed crank sns plugs and airfilter, and bingo the car was happy.
Now 5 months on almost a repeat problem/ proceedure changed cam sns followed by crank sns(same codes) but plugs only spark twice on initial cranking but no sparks on further immediate crank attempts.
Tests carried out: Fuel pressure test 3.5 Bar, changed plugs, carefully examined the wiring to the two new sns, turned the IPDM board over and checked the fuses/general ign on power relay,cleaned earths arround ECU area, cleaned ECU connectors with Wurth SW contact cleaner. But still only two sparks/non starting.
Any better ideas please-----or is it the ECU?
Ah! Last thing: The ignition key is recognised on insursion by the dash indicator light so immobiliser must be OK
