    I have a Polo 1.4 with BBY engine with the following readings:
    17550 Load registration (P1142)
    17961 Sensor. Altitude, intake manifuld unlikely ratio P1553.
    Have also ad 17564 maifold pressure sensor (P1156) open circuit/short to ground. Since change MAP sensor back to 17550 load limit exceeded (P1142) and listed as intermittant. It has on one occasion cut whilst driveing slow refusing to restart. The driver was then recovered to the garage and yes you've guessed it - recovery driver started it and drove it in. Warning lights going out.
    Any help on this welcome as the driver, a young lady, will not drive it anymore and moved back to her mums as nearer to work.
