hi, can anybody confirm if these suffer with Autobox ECU problems.
Have searched forums and net, seem to be many box problems but can only find one ECU problem same as mine but on a 406 (BBA reman forum)

This came in from friends garage it was dropped off by recovery at his garage with blown head gasket and fan running all the time. this flattened the battery and now after jump starting car is permanently stuck in park. then it was dropped off by recovery at my door.

with ign on snow light and sport light are flashing alternately. i have no comms with diag tool for autobox (no response from ecu)have comms with engine and bsi (no faults stored)

    have checked all fuses (OK)

have checked large multi plug on top of box all pins in good condition and making good contact.

Have checked continuity from ECU pins 17,18 to diagnostic socket pins 7 and 15 all OK, One diagram shows pin 46 at ecu going to diag socket but my ecu has no pin 46 (maybe traction cont model?)

Checked all earths, permanent lives and ign lives to ECU. Have also put them all under a 55w load all OK.

Ecu is receiving 12v signal from both brake pedal switches (also checked under load)when this signal is received Pin 11 should pull to earth and pull relay in for park position interlock solenoid relay, but pin 11 is not going to earth it has 12v ign on pedal not pressed and pedal pressed.

If i supply an earth at pin 11 solenoid relay clicks in then i can select all gears car starts and drives. i can't tell how well it will drive as the headgasket problem is too bad dropping oil and water everywhere. Also when in drive snow and sport lights are still flashing.

    cheers for any help
    dave
