Customer complained of MIL light coming on, car drives fine . Code P0401 EGR insufficient flow. This car was fitted with a new EGR valve, had the pipes to the inlet manifold and exhaust manifold blown out. Checked the wiring to the ecu checked that we have a 5v feed and battery voltage feed to the valve - all ok. We then reset the egr adaption and the customer complained that the light came back on. Having got the car back in we rechecked everything reset the egr adaption again and also reset the throttle adaption and erased all learnt values. We took the car on an extended road test (28 miles) and no mil light on. Murphy's law customer takes car and mil light on within a few miles. What am I missing other than the will to live?
