Hi all,
Have a bit of a puzzler here. Car got towed in from another garage and its performance is somewhat down. Here goes....
Engine will only rev to a maximum of 1800rpm. Starts ok hot and cold fault the same through all engine temperatures. Also smokes badly. No fault codes....
History (before us): 1. MAF replaced 2. Fuel filter replaced 3. Fuel pump replaced 4. Timing double checked 5. All pipes checked for splits etc
I thought I would post the question before delving in as I am sure somebody out there has probably seen similiar (I hope!!!!)
What I have quickly checked.
1. Boost/EGR solenoid appears to be ok - waste gate operating. 2. Turbo spins freely. 3. Throttle position good, ect good, MAP poor due to no boost. 4. Have swapped waste gate/egr vacuum connections incase of mismatch - ok. 5. Vacuum good.
Have searched the archives and have found nothing I believe. ANY pointers would be sincerely appreciated.
