Thanks Tony & James i have wiring diagram and some Audi info from erwin it confirms the voltages as normal battery voltage from as you say James the throttle body wiring ,earth & 5 volts from the ecu.We have found some damage to the cutter disc,looks like its been fitting the hall sensor have ordered a replacement,i will check my readings again monday because i think the 5 volt signal should switch not the 12volt ?,many thanks Nigel.
