Rotary electronic diesel control pump.Hi all,
This L200 came in with the MIL light on. I read the codes, two stored. Turbo pressure overboost & VSS.
They both reset OK.
When I tried the vehicle. It went OK, but the boost would be approx 2500mBar on max boost, it then set the light on.(reduced boost on limp home to 1500mBAR)
I checked this morning & it will not misbehave, no MIL, or re-occurance. Boost seems to boost to approx 2400mBAR max, but usually around 1800-2000.
The wastegate seems free, the boost is controlled by a solenoid valve & the duty cycle is approx 93% @idle reducing to 60% on max boost. (about the same when fault was apparent).
Has anyone come across this or has any knowledge of this system, as everything I have is either pre EDC, or later common rail, Not this system.
What would make an overboost situation?
