Not a Peugeot man but I have seen a few. The click you can hear will be the relay pack (Bitron) which is mounted under the ECU. The relay has it's circuit marked on it.
I was looking at one on a Diesel yesterday that I did not have any info on but it was wired the same as an earlier one. I suspect they are all the same or at least similar so it might help you to look at a diagram for another model and compare the map on the relay.
I know I was stuck for pin outs on one of these a while back and later discovered they were on snappy's trouble shooter. I think it was the HFX engine but in a 206.
