Astra 'G' Y17DT Pump 1.7DT- Cuts out intermittently - ECU may need repair Archived Message

I've read all the posts about repairing the dry joints on these ECUs fitted to the back of the injector pump and I feel we have one in that is suffering the same.

Its a Vauxhall Astra 1.7DT 2002 Y17DT that cuts out intermittently and then starts a short time later. It sets a code for the Spill Valve.

We've located an ECU that bolts directly to the back face of the pump (4 bolts) and connects to the wiring loom with a square multiway connector.

On the unit it I think it says Isuzu 1.7D EDU. Its made by Delco. Is this the unit with the possible dry joint?

I just want to confirm as the only tin plate cover is on the rear of the unit and it looks fairly well sealed. I would suspect it may get a bit damaged prising it out.

Just want to be 100% before we give it a go.

    Many thanks

    Seam
