Anybody out there got ideas on alfa bleeding romeo immobilizer functions. Story goes...... car comes in with no clutch.. badly leaking slave cylinder..battery disconnected to remove battery tray and gain access...cylinder replaced, bled, clutch ok, re-connect battery, turn ignition key, key code light stays on solid, no start, after what feels like years later, you know the story sitting on the telephone, listening to the main dealers latest musical offering, alfa offer explanation involving new ecu, locks, and codebox. So new ecu and codebox fitted, programming routine of master key first, then two slave keys, then master again, only result is that now instead of being on all the time, the key code light does us the great honour of flashing at us, you may notice by my tone that im not too chuffed with this italian pile of soggy spaghetti. Short of hooking the damn thing up and towing to listen to the main dealers latest jingle we dont know what to do with it. Hooked up Autodiagnos last thing today, actually managed to get a fault code, 8 unprogrammed key. Surely reconnecting the battery wont cause the key reader coil to go faulty????? Look forward to any ideas, im off to finish my poster banning Italian cars from the workshop. If P.E.U.G.E.O.T.
