    Hi Colin, you won't find a fault when testing the idle valve on these.I keep one in stock now as its the quickest way to be sure.Ive tested every measurement I can think of on these valves and after changing dozens have still to find a definate difference between old + new!
    If you get it before it gets too bad they dont cut out if you bring the throttle back to the closed position slowely.But if you give it a hard rev and remove your foot from the throttle it will cut out.
    Ive played with the last few Ive done and found you can adjust the spring tension in the valve to overcome the cutting out problem. If you look at the end of the valve there is blob of sealer.Remove this and you will see a plastic screw, screw this outward(I think) and play with the idle speed.
    Remember to reset the ECU memory also!
