    Vauxhall Astra 1.7 TD X17TDI EML ON - EGR flow fault, low vac Archived Message

    1998 Facelift 80,000 Miles, BOSCH EDC V15, EML ON, Initial fault was seized EGR, Replaced inlet manifold and EGR ( Combined Unit ) with genuine part, No further problems for about a week, EML On again EGR Flow fault this time, vac tested modulator, found low vac pressure, replaced modulator with genuine part, again OK for about a week, EML on again, but this time DTC P0400 EGR Deviation, light comes on sparidcally, Road tested after 10 miles of motorway driving, light comes on, light on under load, on over run, and during constant throttle, Checked EGR position in actual values whilst driving and EGR can stick at 1% instead of 0, and bring the light on, checked seating position, no signs of not sealing, vac tested and always returns to zero, but shows 3 % whilst engine not running, but valve is fully closed, IS THIS KTS FAULT OR VEHICLE FAULT, induced fault into system and it picks it up, checked MAF signal no signs of drop off or low readings, not scoped checked yet,anybody had simular fault, vac checked pipes no leaks and pipes on correct way, checked adjustments for EGR and tried different settings any advice on settings for EGR using KTS
