Jaguar S Type 3.0 2002 - MIL on faulr code 1646 manufacture specific code #

Hi all the car had engine management light on but was driving ok i put my scanner on it and it gave me out DTC 1646 manufacture specific code. Can any one tell me what this code means it would be great help if you could.

Jason, code means "heated oxygen sensor control module, bank 1, open/ shorted". Taken from AutoEnginuity's Code definitions. Under Generic OBD-11, predictably, "Unspecified code".Suggest you check heater voltage and heater resistance. If you work on a lot of Jags, it would pay you to have a close look at AutoEnginuity's web site, very cheap and very good!! regards, Gwyn
