Got a renault clio II going into limp with fault code 0A Accelerator posisition sensor track 1 implausible

If I turn off the ignition and then back on again, the engine will rev correctly and the light will go out - but as soon as the vehicle moves the same fault returns and limp mode again.

I can even reproduce the fault with engine not running and pushing the vehicle ( to rule out ignition interfereance ).
There is no vss in the manual box and if i go into ABS I can watch all 4 sensors sending vehicle speed.

If I disconnect the pedal unit I get the same fault code.

Scope test on pedal unit shows 2 x 5v supply 2 x good ground and the signal is 0 - 4.8 v on one track and 0 - 2.2 v on the other track.

I am aware of wiring faults to the ecu on the back of the engine and have had looms off to make sure no cut wires. I have even swapped motorised throttle for known good unit to no avail.

I'm thinking its an ABS fault but running out of ideas fast.
