Rover 25 1.4 Mems 3 - Flat spot on acceleration as though no fuel #

( Optional ) ECU Type: mems3
( Optional ) Scanner Used: autodiagnos

Engine starts and idles fine.realy bad flatspot on acceleration as though no fuel?if vehicle stationary,revs up no problem.no fault codes.tried thottle potentiometer,still same.has had replacement ecm due to injector driver problem for same fault@

ISTR that fouled injectors can be an issue on these.

Gas composition on acceleration might be informative.

suggest you inspect all wiring harnesses particularly where it leaves the mems ecm on nearside it can chafe through security tin plate.also upstream lambda sensors seem to fail more than average you should be able to check sensor switching with most scanners. GEOFF TAYLOR.

HI
THE INJECTION LOOM RUBS THROUGH ON A METAL CLIP JUST ABOVE THE GEARBOX.
WILL CAUSE YOUR PROBLEM, DAMAGING THE INJECTOR DRIVERS.
