Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.25 1998 - High revs up to 3000 rpm when you dip the clutch #

I had the above vehicle in last week that was holding its revs up(3000) when you hold the clutch down(when moving).On coming to a standstill revs drop to normal idle,though on occations this can be unstable.
Following checking the advise of the archives the throttle pot voltage was adjusted down to 0.7v(gently twist the end of the throttle spindle),reset ECU and hey presto a different car!
Now need to figure out why the powersteering switch isnt altering the idle though it has been replaced.

I had a similar problem on a later model Fiesta.
There was code logged for the 'Clutch switch'.
Have a look at the clutch pedal and see if you can see one..?

check the wires to the power steering pressure switch by timing belt area. or tps fault
