Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 8v SPi 1998 - Missire and high emissions at idle #

Year of Manufacture *: 1998
Engine Code or Type *: 1.4 8V spi
( Optional ) Scanner used: CRYPTON PROSCAN,HAYNES PFCR

Hi all got this corsa with over fueling on idle 5-7, emissions spot on when on fast idle, changed head gasket , due to usual gasket blow between cylinder 3 and 4. Vehicle drives fine , just when you let it idle it gets all choked up and when you try and rev it it splutters then revs eventually. no fault codes stored,lambda switching fine ,tps signal fine, engine temp OK, checked for air leaks,changed plugs , plug leads and coil pack.It looks like to much fuel is being injected into throttle housing.

Hi Dan,
Have you checked manifold vacuum, should be 20 - 21"hg. Has this the seperate MAP sensor on bulkhead? I had a 1.2 Corsa last week with a sticky MAP sensor same symptoms as yours.

Hi Nige yes it has got map sensor on bulk head , could map sensor give you that much extra c.o.?
