BMW Mini Copper 1.6 2004 - Power steering pump fault, code 5507, 5529 & 5517 - Fixed #

Engine Code or Type *: 1600
( Optional ) Scanner used: KTS

Hi all.
In need of help with this one.
Mini came in with power steering pump working with ignition off, fault codes 5507,power supply for power steering motor invalid signal, 5529, control unit distribut voltage maximum exceeded, 5529 control unit distribut less than mininum, 5517, therma protection for steering aid maximum exceeded. Removed small plug from motor no change, I think its inside motor?

These Mini's have lots of problems with Motors, check the wiring for any signs of over heating.

Fix, replace pump, clear codes all ok.

We have had these before, but sometimes they melt the plug on top of the pump, so its always wise to check the wiring.
