Renault Scenic 1.6 - Two dash warning lights, poor running - Fixed #

Engine Code or Type *: K4M

HI GOT A RENAULT SCENIC WITH 2 LIGHTS ON 1 IS GLOW PLUGS, THE 1 RIGHT ABOVE IT IM NOT SURE IT LOOKS LIKE A WAVEFORM.CODES PRESENT FLYWHEEL SIGNAL,MAP SENSOR TP RESISTOR.CAR RUN FINE IF THESE 2 LIGHTS STAY ON,WHEN THEY GO OF IT WONT IDLE LACK OF POWER GENERALLY JUST DONT WANT TO RUN.WHEN YOU STOP THE ENGINE ANN THE LIGHTS STAY ON IT RUNS FINE ANY IDEAS WOUL BE MOST WELCOM THANKS MIKE

Hi mike,

Do any or all of these codes return if cleared? Have you tested any of the items or circuits that are flagged? Have you checked basics like spark plugs?

Both the Glow plug light and the waveform lamp are engine management malfuction lamps.

Faults on these things are too numerous to take a guess incl bad/broken earths to head, map sensor pipes broken genaral wiring faults and corosion on relays.

More testing and info required I think if you need any real help.
