Renault Megane 1.6 16v 2004 - MIL on, lost ignition, no comms - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2004
Engine Code or Type *: 1.6 16v
( Optional ) Scanner used: KTS / Socio

Car drove in with MIL on ( AA plugged in and brought up cam sensor fault )
I started the car, drove it into the workshop and plugged in the Socio Tecnomotor scan tool. Went to the laptop ( was working bluetooth) but got no comms. Went back to the vehicle which was still idling and the wipers and lights had turned on.
I tried to turn the engine off but the stop/start switch did nothing.
Being an automatic, I couldn't stall it , so disconected the ingector loom and it stopped but the wipers carried on. Disconected the battery for a few mins and reconected and now no ignition.
The card is being recognised I think because when you put the card in and press start the clock on the stereo display comes on and certain things do work like the stereo and the aircon on/off button but the main instrument cluster wont light up
I've checked fuses and grounds and can only inagine the UCH has failed ?? But unsure of how to test without comms. Could my scan tool have done anything to it ?

Glen.
Have you checked the fuse(s)attached to the positive battery terminals ??

Yes, they are all fine. I have a wiring diagram for the Engine Ecu and have volt drop tested all grounds.
I had lost supply voltage to Plug A ( orange wire ) on Engine Ecu, but that has miraculously returned on its own, but still no comms.
I am now beginning to suspect wiring rather than BCM

If I had any hair I would be pulling it out by now.

Vehicle has now been at the main dealers for a week and they have no idea - I believe we are now waiting for Renault UK

CAN failure caused by electric cabrio roof controler. But at the mo the stereo , dash and aircon wont work - though it does start + run.

All good now - had to get Paul Harper to dig me out of a hole with his one.
Roof Control unit , air con control unit , stereo + dash cluster :-(

Any Idea What caused all these Items to fail at the same time Glen. ????

Had it been jump started ??? or had someone disconnected the battery with it running trying to stop it. ???

All these items must have been damaged by some external problem. ??

How much did something like this end up costing. ??? ( sounds painfull to me )

What sort of reaction did you get from the Owner. ??
