Hi Guys, its been a while since I've beeen on the Forum. The problem I'm faced with is a Peugeot 206 1.4 auto 8v, engine code KFW. The problem is intermittant. Whilst driving the MIL light will flash on and the engine jerks as if switched off and then back on. It may happen once or 4 or 5 times in a row. Fault code will be noted and cleared but different ones will come back but only after the problem has happened. On one occasion the vehicle did cut out and not start, was recovered by the RAC who diagnosed No supply to Pump. Fuse OK. But on getting vehicle into workshop it started. Only code at this point flaggged steeper motor. Codes being flagged - 1st time read P1110 air flow inconsistant Trans codes 34 Can engine torque no sig. 0 - kick down switch. 00216 Undoc code.
Due to RAC report decission made to change fuse board under bonnet which also carries system relay and fuel pump relay. Although the MIL light jerking is still there intermittant but has not cut out and not started.
Other codes coming up P0351 coil 1, P0202 Undoc, P0203 Un doc, P0204 injector curcuit/open cyl 4, P0444 canister purge valve circuit.
It may or not be relevant but the vehicle has had a history of gear change problems - holding in 2nd and 3rd. This started when under warranty but 5 trips to dealer yeilded nothing and warranty expired! When the vehicle first came into us for cambelt (probably already their by the way) a road test revealed lack of power and not kicking down, this seemed to go when fuse board changed.
Items done:
1. Crank sensor changed.
2. Engine bay fuse board.
3. Vacum check 15 inch low
4. Valve clearance now 17 inch.
5. Check for blocked exhaust.
6. Wiring loom engine bay removed, inspected, no faults found.
7. Connection checked to BSi and ignition switch and wiggle test all clear.
Any ideas on this gratefully accepted as this customer is a regular - and now using my car.
