Peugeot 307 1.4 16v KFU 2003 - Anti Pollution Fault #

Year of Manufacture *: 2003 - 53
Engine Code or Type *: KFU (ET3)

Engine management light on & dashboard screen displays "Anti Pollution Fault"
Runs lumpy & feels hesitant particularly when cold.
Had it plugged in only fault found was Coolant Temp sensor reading -30 degrees C.
Fitted new (Peugeot) sensor.....no difference!
Coolant sensor still reading -30 & Air temp sensor now reads -18 degrees as well!

There's only 1 coolant temp sensor for everything - dash gauge & rad fan operate normally.

I don't have access to wiring diag.s or Pin data, but am told the air & coolant sensors are on different circuits.

Any thoughts?

Hi Mike,

I would like to see what voltages you have at the sensor. Sounds like an open circuit to me with lots of digging to do.

What equipment are you using only ask as I was doing one today using Autodiagnos and temp readings were all to pot. ended up using Solus or try eobd

I don't know the make of code reader... I don't have one so got the faults read by another garage. Will try to find out tho...

Looking at car again later this week - will get busy with the multi-meter!

FIXED - sort of!
Customer says light has gone out & says car drives fine.....
I have found-out that ECU is self-learning, but it has taken over a week for it to learn there's not a fault. The car is a daily driver.

Do you really think the ECU is that good at self learning ????.

4.5 volt or just above in live data i suspect, i wonder why
