Skoda Fabia 1.4 16v AUB 2001 - Excessive oil consumption #

Year of Manufacture *: 51 plate 79,000 mile
Engine Code or Type *: aub

anyone had a problem with exessive oil usage
nothing seem terrebly wrong,eng.runs well
and doesnt seem to be burning oil.
can be ok for several weeks and then oil just
disappears

Stating the obvious!!
If its not leaking out it must be burning it, my best bet would be on guides / seals.

Hi there, these engines are prone to piston ring problems may pay to carry out cylinder leakage test, hope this helps
