Renault Clio II 1.2 16v 2002 - Hunting and stalling at idle, code DF045 #

Year of Manufacture *: 2002
Engine Code or Type *: 1.2 16v

hi all need help with this one customer came in saying car hunting & stalling at idle sometimes so bad can't be driven & other time ok for 2-3 days. there no air leaks & codes df045 (manifold pressure sensor circuit incoherence between the pressure returned & the real pressure)changed the map sensor was ok for 2 weeks know came back any ideas thanx

Hi,

If you are to get any help diagnosing this fault then you will need to post a lot more detail regarding what tests you have carried out, what you have seen in live data etc.

Joe like Alan says your post is a little short on detail.. but here goes

It could be the throttle unit. Strip, clean and reset.

Have done what you said see how it goes.

The one in ur picture looked bad seems as it had a blocked pipe or air filter

Joe I had one very similar I ended up adjusting tappets thought they were hydraulic until I checked data but I did have a code with slight misfire worth a try Martin

Have you looked at the security cover on the ecu. A short there can go away just by touching it and then return days later when it rattles back to the same place again.
