Hi Does antone know if you can fit a secondhand ECU to a 2003 Fiesta with coded access. I have IDS and access to in & out codes but not sure if can be done due to stored info in donor ECU. Many thanks.

Yes Roger, a Used Ecu can be fitted, You will require 2 x access codes though ( unless you have the transponder chips to match the ecu )
Fit ecu, program keys to ecu,( 1 code ) and then go through initialisation procedure for replacing instrument cluster. ( 2nd code )
I think there might be another way by making ids think that its a new ecu and reprogramming it fully but i haven't done it that way yet.

p,s it will still have the wrong chassis no logged into the ecu, but we haven't bothered about that on the last couple that we fitted. ( and the dealers said they don't bother either )
