BMW 320 E46 2.2 2000- Intermittent non start #

Year of Manufacture *: 2000
Engine Code or Type *: 2.2
( Optional ) Scanner used: KTS650 SNAP ON SOLUS

CAR CAME IN WITH INTERMITANT NON START PROBLEM.
WE DID DIOGNOSTIC CHECK IT CAME UP WITH CRANK SENSOR SO I FITTED NON GEN SENSOR CLEARED FAULT.
CAR STRUGGLED TO START AND RAN POOR SO I FITTED A GENUINE SENSOR WHICH SEAMED TO SORT THE PROBLEM. IT HAS SINCE BEEN BACK IN WITH THE SAME PROBLEM STILL SHOWING THE SAME CODE. THE CAR HAS NEVER NOT STARTED FOR US.

Suggest you scope crank and cam sensors as they are both common faults but allways use BMW sensors on these vehicles.

I think there was a factory reflash for this problem.

Without knowing engine code I am guessing however.
