Peugeot 206 1.1 HFX 2001 - Key progamming #
Posted by Dave McCall on November 7, 2009, 8:21 am Hi all this is a strange one just wondered if any body else has experienced the same fault. Car runs fine and starts but customer wanted an extra key. I can clear and reprogram existing key no problem, then when I try to add second (unprogrammed) key the DEC looses coms with BSI. After quizzing customer about source of supply for new key it came from ebay. I suggested we buy the correct key from Peugeot and that was exactly the same. Dealer says they have come accross this problem earlier vehicles and new keys, they explain it as an earlier software version on vehicleas being incompatible with new key suggest that a new com2000 unit is required to write to a new key. It is possible but has anyone experienced this Dave McCall
