BMW Mini One 1.6 2003 - Poor throttle responce, holding back - Fixed #

Engine Code or CC *: 1.6

poor throttle responce, engine holding back and will not accelerate.up to 2500rpm if you change down and move rev range engine performance normal and pulls ok. only faulty in wet conditions, does not have any stored fault codes. no water leaks into footwells. any thoughts would be welcome many thanks John

Hi John

Are you saying that this car is "fault free" in dry conditions?

Apart from code reading this, what other tests have you performed?

yes Dave when dry no driving fault at all, looked at most available live data and tested throttle pos, temp senders,checked lambda and removed and checked all electrical connectors no signs of corrosion,the problem is you can go out and get fault but as soon as it gets into workshop all is ok, am now waiting for an onboard flight recorder to see in we can "capture" fault cause

finally located to fault to short on first lamda sensor, had chaffed through on th heat sheild at the back of the engine
